
Ontario Human Rights Code and Other Legislation:
Organizations need to pay particular attention to the limitations placed by the Ontario Human Rights Code before proceeding with recruitment and selection efforts. The Code applies to the permissible content of application forms, pre‐screening, the interview questions, medical inquiries and the duty to accommodate persons with disabilities. Other applicable legislation to be familiar with in the process of recruitment and selection includes Employment Equity, Privacy and Pay Equity.
