Organizational Goal Setting

When done well, goal setting leads to improved performance across an organization. Managers play an important role in the goal-setting process by conveying clear expectations to their employees on what constitutes superior performance and how an employee’s individual performance contributes to achieving the organization’s vision and mission.    

The intention of this goal-setting module is to provide guidance to managers on how to set employee goals that encourage superior performance and how to link them to the strategic direction of their organization.
